My name is Andrew. I'm a web designer based in Statesville, NC. I started Porchlight Web because I saw too many small businesses paying too much for websites that loaded slowly, looked generic, and were nearly impossible to update. I wanted to offer something better: a site built the right way, at a price that actually makes sense for a small business.
I do not use WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or any other page builders. I do not use AI to generate code. Every site is hand-coded from scratch using clean HTML and CSS. This allows me to create lightning-fast websites that are easy to update and maintain, without the bloat and security risks of traditional platforms.

No. Every website I build is written by hand, line by line. I don't use AI code generators, and I don't use page builders. If you're paying for a website, it should be built like one.
Monthly plans have a 6-month minimum to start. After that, you're month to month. The lump sum option has no ongoing commitment at all.
It means exactly what it says. Need to change your phone number, update your business hours, add a new service, or swap out a photo? Send me a message and I'll take care of it. There's no per-edit charge.
Note: "unlimited edits" does not include major redesigns or adding new pages. It does cover most updates and changes to keep your site fresh and accurate.No, the monthly plan price remains the same for the duration of your commitment. You will never be subject to price increases. If our subscription prices increase due to inflation or other factors, existing clients on the monthly plan will be grandfathered in at their original rate as long as they maintain their subscription without interruption.
